Transportation Coordinator

Craftsmen Contractors is hiring an experienced Transportation Coordinator for the Minden, La. area. This is a full-time temp-to-permanent position for an industrial plant that builds steel-structured modules for data centers. You will be working day shifts from Monday through Friday.

Pay is $24 / hr..

Weekly pay by direct deposit. No per diem is offered.

Job Duties :

Schedule and monitor all outbound shipments of enclosures and materials for all product lines

Quote transportation, crane, and set-up costs for the Technical Sales Department.

Schedule and coordinate crane offloads with vendors, customers, project managers, and field service personnel.

Responsible for weekly and monthly reports.

Approve transportation and crane invoices.

Create purchase orders for freight and crane charges.

Work closely with Accounts Payable and Receivables on invoices and billing information, and with job estimators on quotes / bids.

Complete daily truck loading schedule for the plant and shipping department.

Follow all DOT regulations.

File documents.

Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Transportation.

Job Requirements :

High school diploma required.

Logistical coordination experience required.

Computer background and general office skills required.
