Bilingual (English / Spanish) Youth Services Librarian
Overview
Tigard Public Library is seeking a Bilingual (Spanish / English) Youth Services Librarian to be a primary connection for providing library services to Tigard’s Spanish speaking youth and families. This position provides direct customer service both at the library and out in the community; collaborates with colleagues to develop and deliver culturally relevant and sustaining programs for youth of all ages; manages several library collections with an emphasis on Spanish language materials for youth; and serves on the City of Tigard’s internal translations team.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with the public and is passionate about providing services to Spanish speaking youth and families in the community. They approach their work with curiosity, continuously grow their professional knowledge, adapt to change with a positive outlook, thrive on variety and are equally comfortable helping a new reader find just the right book as they are helping a job seeker reformat a resume.

This position is 40 hours per week (1 FTE) and requires regular evening and weekend shifts. Expected work schedule is Tuesday‑Saturday, with a Tuesday evening shift.
