We are looking for a first line Test Engineering Section Lead to manage digital and RF test software design engineers for our Software Test Solutions Department in Nashua, NH. The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising up to 15 test engineers with various engineering backgrounds (software, electrical, mechanical) with a focus on the automated testing of RF and digital tests.
This is a "Player-Coach" model position, and the expectation of the role will be the ability to guide and mentor their employees in all technical aspects of their assignments and evaluate current and future employees on their skill level. Other responsibilities of this role include assisting with project planning and execution, and management / development of the assigned workforce. The applicants must have successfully demonstrated project and personnel leadership skills in prior assignments. This is a hybrid position where approximately 50% of the time is spent on mentoring and growing your section and other 50% is spent on project work.
This position requires relevant leadership experience to support teams that develop production test solutions including all aspects of establishing semi-automated production test capabilities for production sell-off. Test solutions include test stands, test equipment interfaces and test software that automates / semi-automates the test environment for complex electronics manufacturing. This Test Section Lead / Manager must be a motivated team-oriented individual with strong problem-solving abilities and people skills that support collaboration across multiple disciplines within the business.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
10+ years of professional test development and integration experience.
3+ years of people management experience.
Hardware and Software Integration experience.
Experience with HW debug & troubleshooting.
Possess excellent communication skills including interpersonal communication and team communication, self-driven, and self-starter.
Proficiency in Object-oriented programming (C / C++ / C# etc.)
Strong leadership skills
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
NI Test Software Tools : TestStand, LabWindows / CVI Software
Instrument Communication : Network analyzers, Spectrum analyzers, O-Scope etc.
Microwave / RF measurements : VSWR, Gain, Compression, Phase noise etc.
Proficiency in C# is desirable
Experience with the product life cycle development which consists of Requirements review, test plan creation, coding, integration of test SW with test stands, and sell-off to customers.
Experience following the test development processes.
Experience with HW debug & troubleshooting.
Leadership, mentorship, team collaboration, and technical interchange with customers.

Experience in supporting factory production test stands, debug, problem isolation, and resolution.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range : $130355 - $221603
