Job Description
Assist and help oversee the development and implementation of safety programs and
procedures to help ensure a safe and healthy environment for all guests and team
members at Boyd Gaming Properties. Conduct periodic safety program audits and
hazard assessments at Boyd properties. Analyze areas of potential risk to the assets of
the company and make recommendations for corrective actions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the Corporate and property level safety programs.
- Provide support to Las Vegas properties during the course of regulatory inspections and interface with the regulatory agencies and consultants as required.
- Assist in the development of on-line safety training programs.
- Assist the VP of Safety in conducting audits of property safety programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Assist the VP of Safety in conducting property site safety inspection and make recommendations for improvement.
- Provide guidance and advice concerning compliance with safety, health, environmental laws, codes, regulations and standards to property management as required.
- Inspect, evaluate, analyze and recommend adjustments and changes to controls and programs at both the corporate and property level.
- Ensure that identification of workplace safety and health hazards are being conducted at the property level in Las Vegas. Ensure that ongoing training of team members in accordance with OSHA standards is being accomplished.
- Maintain knowledge of technological developments, current laws, regulations, standards, codes, products, and methods related to the safety and health fields, including hazard prevention and control techniques and processes.
- Maintain all applicable training as required.

Qualifications : Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Safety or related field preferred, or equivalent in education and experience.Gaming industry experience preferred.Ability to use critical thinking, logic, and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.Strong communication skills interfacing with team members at all levels of the organization.Additional Information
