Description
Under the direct supervision of a licensed SLP, the SLPA assists with the delivery of speech-language services within educational settings. Responsibilities include implementing therapy protocols, collecting data, supporting generalization in classrooms, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Requirements
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver direct services according to SLP-designed treatment plans.
- Prepare therapy materials, assist with classroom integration, and support instructional activities.
- Collect and document student performance data and report to the supervising SLP.
- Conduct screenings (as directed) and facilitate communication skill generalization.
- Help manage therapy documentation in compliance with FERPA and district / state policies.
- Participate in collaborative team meetings and trainings.
- Perform clerical tasks-including scheduling and resource organization-as required.
Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following education-based tiers as defined by the Indiana Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology BoardStrong organizational and time management skillsExperience working in a school setting preferred
