Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

Description

Under the direct supervision of a licensed SLP, the SLPA assists with the delivery of speech-language services within educational settings. Responsibilities include implementing therapy protocols, collecting data, supporting generalization in classrooms, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Deliver direct services according to SLP-designed treatment plans.
• Prepare therapy materials, assist with classroom integration, and support instructional activities.
• Collect and document student performance data and report to the supervising SLP.
• Conduct screenings (as directed) and facilitate communication skill generalization.
• Help manage therapy documentation in compliance with FERPA and district / state policies.
• Participate in collaborative team meetings and trainings.
• Perform clerical tasks-including scheduling and resource organization-as required.
