IRISNDT has an immediate need for experienced Rope Access, Real Time Radiography (RTR) Technicians to work on multiple on-going, long-term CUI projects which are located all over the U.

S. Must have dual State Radiographer Card, Digital Radiography experience and be willing to travel consistently throughout the year.

The Rope Access, Real Time Radiography (RTR) Technician is responsible for carrying out standard rope access operations under the direct supervision of an authorized Level 3 rope access supervisor.

The technician will use Industrial Rope Access methods and related equipment to access and complete Real Time Radiography inspections, maintenance and other industrial work tasks while on ropes or in difficult access areas.

Technicians must have the ability to perform work that is physically demanding, have good communication skills and the ability to assimilate a large amount of new information.

Responsibilities may also include rescue operations, technical reports and administrative tasks. Work hours, locations, shifts and nature of work assignments vary greatly, and travel will be required.

The Rope Access, RTR Technician must have sufficient technical knowledge and skills to be qualified to set up and calibrate equipment and to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.

The Technician must be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified and shall exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of trainees and NDT Level I personnel.

The RT Level II Technician must be able to organize, and report results of NDT tests.

Required Skills and Experience :

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Dual State Radiographer Card required.
• Current Level I, II, or III SPRAT and / or IRATA Rope Access certification required.
• SNT Level II certification in RT is considered an asset but is not required.
• SNT Level II certifications in MT, PT, UTT will be considered an asset.
• Digital Radiography (DR) experience required (must be able to shoot profiles).
• Computed Radiography (CR) experience considered an asset.
• Technical background in RTR methods and procedures with demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections.
• Must have working knowledge of RTR equipment.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Must have 40 hours of Radiation Safety Training.
• Valid TWIC Card required (will be required to know PIN # in some locations).
• Must be capable of following verbal and written instructions.
• Valid Driver’s License and pre-access drug and alcohol testing required.
• Pre-employment background checks will be required.
• Must be willing to travel throughout the year.

Physical Requirements :

• Move, carry, and lift objects 50 lbs.

• Remain constantly active throughout shift.
