Summary / Objective :

The Millwright position will repair, maintain, and facilitate the installation of industrial machines used in manufacturing and production operations.

Essential Functions :

• Ensures proper operation of large processing and manufacturing equipment.
• Uses hand tools, hoists, jacks, squares, rules, micrometers, plumb bobs, and power tools to assemble, install, align, and adjust machines.
• Ensures machines perform to specifications by conducting tests; modifies and fine-tunes machines.
• Responsible for Disassembling or dismantling machines.
• Gathers and assembles parts for repairs or modifications based on blueprints, schematics, diagrams, instructional manuals, or verbal instructions.
• Troubleshoots and repairs machines including when unexpected issues arise.
• Oversees and performs preventive maintenance on large processing and manufacturing equipment.
• Provides advice and recommendations to management concerning new machinery.
• Helps plan and facilitate installation of new or refurbished machinery, which may include building platforms and foundations.
• Conducts safety inspections of facilities.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience :

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational school or associate degree in related field highly preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience and / or training that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
