OVERVIEW :
- This is a full-time on-site role for an MHC / Multifamily Property Manager. The Property Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of an MHC and Multifamily residential properties. They will ensure that the properties are operating efficiently and effectively, while maintaining a high level of customer service for residents. This position requires strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of property management practices, and the ability to effectively manage tenant relations. The ideal candidate will have experience in legal administrative tasks, property leasing, and customer service, along with a solid grasp of Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant law
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Maintain a professional, courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow team membersManage resident retention and service request follow-upMonitor the timely receipt and reconciliation of rent collections and ensure landlord / resident statutes are followedProduce weekly reports for managementMaintain a rental registry where requiredApplication processing, lease renewalDirect efforts to implement sales and marketing plans, which effectively maximize rental income and budgeted occupancyEffectively maintain product knowledge of the community and competitive communities through consistent evaluation of market conditions and trends.Monitor service request turnaround and ensure the responsiveness of the maintenance staffOversee lease renewals, including planning, timing, and market price levels.Perform apartment inspections monthly, as well as prior to move-in and at move-outManage property risk effectively by communicating incidents and potential liabilitiesMove-in, move-out inspections, property walk-throughAssign turnover work to staff / vendorsInspect work completed by vendors / staffRespond to after-hours emergency calls when requiredQUALIFICATIONS :
Previous experience in property management, preferably in a multifamily or manufactured home communityStrong customer service skills and ability to interact with residents and staff in a positive and professional mannerExcellent verbal and written communication and organizational skillsStrong analytical and decision-making skillsTeamwork mindedProficiency with property management software and tools, such as AppFolio, Yardi, Rent Manager, and Microsoft OfficeStrong knowledge of fair housing laws and regulationsAbility to follow and enforce property policies and proceduresBachelor's degree in business, real estate, or a related field is preferred, but not requiredDriver's License and proof of automobile liability insurance coverageRequirement to pass a background check and drug testingWe are an equal opportunity employer, and we are an organization that values diversity.
