Job description

1 : 1 School Nurse needed in Plymouth, MN! Enjoy the flexibility of working with an agency at a local school which allows you to have a recruiter that always has your back and advocates for you while you get to do what you love!

Contract Details :

  • Location(s) : Plymouth, MN.
  • Contract follows the academic district calendar - Part Time (16 hours per week).

Salary :

  • $48-52 per hour.

    • Qualifications :

  • Current RN license in Minnesota.
  • Current First Aid or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR / BLS) certification.
  • Prior professional nursing experience, preferably in school and / or pediatric nursing.
  • Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and / or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.

    • Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide one-on-one nursing support to a student with significant medical and developmental needs.
  • Work directly with the family of student in need of 1 : 1 nursing care to administer personal medical care, including transportation, and any school medications.
  • Conduct health assessments and screenings to identify health concerns and provide appropriate interventions.
  • Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and school policies.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students.
  • Educate students, staff, and families on health-related topics, including illness prevention, nutrition, and hygiene.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to address health concerns and promote a healthy school environment.
  • Stay up to date on current nursing practices, regulations, and guidelines related to school health services.
