Vice President, Enterprise Transformation Office

Children's Health System of Texas (CHST) seeks a transformational executive leader to serve as Vice President of the Enterprise Transformation Office (ETO). This critical role will drive the implementation and execution of CHST's most visible and important strategic priorities through leadership of our Project Management and Performance Improvement teams.
As the executive leader of this business unit, you will be instrumental in enabling CHST's transformative strategy and ensuring successful delivery of our enterprise-wide portfolio of initiatives. This role requires a dynamic change agent who can establish strategic vision, operationalize best practices, and partner with leaders across all levels of the organization to advance our mission.
Essential Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Establish and execute the strategic vision for the ETO Project Management and Performance Improvement organization
- Partner with internal business leaders to execute CHST strategic imperatives as defined in the Annual Business Plan
- Serve as a key member of the CHST executive team on major initiatives, leading agile and adaptable practices to respond to organizational needs
- Determine optimal organizational structure for the ETO function to deliver best-in-class performance
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure proper movement of initiatives through the project management lifecycle
Project & Portfolio Management
Ensure CHST's portfolio of programs and projects aligns with and executes according to strategic objectives and goalsManage project schedules, resources, communications, critical issues / risk resolution, and sponsorship across all CHST projectsEstablish collaborative working relationships across the organization to meet annual project implementation and performance improvement objectivesDesign, lead, and direct comprehensive measurement strategies to evaluate program effectiveness and quantifiable ROISet requirements and expectations for ETO tools, templates, and processes; hold team accountable to performance standardsOrganizational Development
Provide thought leadership and focused attention to ongoing development and deployment of best-practice solutions in project management and process improvementCollaborate with physician leadership, clinical operations executives, Chief Nursing Officer, Legal Counsel, Finance, and other key leaders to advance best practicesLead with a mindset of continual improvement for self, team members, and organizational processesManage, coach, and mentor a high-performing team while ensuring appropriate talent, professional skills, and resourcesProvide orientation, training, continuing education, and development of staffQualifications
Required Experience
Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience successfully leading project management teams and implementing complex, large-scale projects and process improvement functionsBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceProject Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) - must be obtained by December 2026 or upon hirePreferred Experience
10+ years leading teams or projects within a healthcare and / or academic health sciences environment, including IT, Construction, and Strategic Projects5+ years partnering and collaborating with physicians, researchers, and administrators in areas such as grant writing, interoperability solutions, informatics, and electronic collaboration toolsGraduate or professional degree or equivalent experienceCertified Scrum Master (CSM) or Lean Six Sigma certificationWhy Join CHST?
