RN House Supervisor- Night Shift

Job Description

RN House Supervisors are responsible for completing the following duties and tasks :

• Receives call-ins, assigns float pool staff, and makes appropriate reassignments or changes in staff schedule to meet recommended staffing levels in the various nursing units.
• Collaborates with Nurse Managers, or Charge Nurses to maintain adequate staffing for the various nursing units for the current and oncoming shifts.
• Collaborates with the Access Intake Center staff to guarantee the most appropriate placement of the patient in the system based upon patient diagnosis, acuity, and nursing care needs
• Communicates information appropriately and effectively intra and interdepartmentally.
• Acts as a resource to nursing units and other departments and serves as a liaison when dealing with mutual problems, issues or concerns.
• Provides accurate written and / or verbal reports to Nurse Managers, Risk Manager, or Quality Improvement Director based upon problems encountered and actions taken as appropriate.
