Leadership Opportunity At Nuclear Material Control And Accountability Group
The Nuclear Material Control and Accountability group is seeking an exceptional leader to manage the NMCA Site Operations Team. This team is responsible for supporting all operations that use accountable nuclear material at Los Alamos National Laboratory including Physical Inventories, transactions in the LANL nuclear material accountability system, response to anomalous conditions, leading continuous improvement efforts, and mentoring / training others on MC&A topics. This position is highly visible with broad institutional impact and requires a balance of strong leadership, technical competence / ability, and commitment to continuous improvement. The selected candidate must be comfortable engaging with management throughout Los Alamos National Laboratory and DOE / NNSA, be able to anticipate challenges or obstacles and tactfully resolve them with minimal supervision.
Minimum Job Requirements :
Education / Experience : Position requires a bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At this level, post graduate course work may be desirable.

Work Location : The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.
Position commitment : Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the time required, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader. The position commitment for this position is 1 year.
