The Quality Engineer ensures the reliability and quality of
Responsibilities and duties
Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes for manufacturing and assembly.
Conduct regular product inspections and tests to verify conformance with specifications.
Perform root cause analysis for product or manufacturing issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the quality of raw materials and manage supplier corrective actions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and engineering, to address quality issues and drive corrective actions.
Create and maintain quality assurance documentation, including test plans and procedures.
Implement continuous improvement activities, using methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma, to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
Manage nonconforming materials by tracking and leading Material Review Board (MRB) efforts.
Support internal quality system audits and assist in managing the overall Quality Management System (QMS).
Provide support for new product development, including the submission of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) packages.
Required skills and qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in a quality-related role, preferably in the computer hardware or a similar manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of industry standards like ISO 9001.
Experience with quality methodologies, including root cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys), FMEA, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE) is a plus.
