About this Position :
Veritas HHS is a government services company that primarily provides child support enforcement services to state and county governments. The proposal writer will work with executives and other proposal team members to develop winning proposals for government contracts.
Primary Responsibilities :
Compiles necessary information for proposal development through collaboration with executives, other members of the proposal team, and subject-matter expertsConducts database research and other fact-finding activitiesResearches and analyzes competitor proposalsDrafts proposal narratives to address Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements, which typically involve qualifications statements, staffing plans, and descriptions of the company’s technical approachEnsures proposal is developed and submitted on time and within RFP specificationsCompletes documents, forms, or reports required for proposal submissionEdits and proofreads proposals for clarity, consistency, and accuracySupports the development of graphics, charts, and other visuals to enhance proposal readabilityDevelops and maintains proposal electronic master files, including the development of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) repositoryWhen no proposals are in process, keeps resumes up to date and refines responses to common requirementsPerforms other related duties as assignedExperience writing successful proposals for government contracts; experience with health and human services contracts preferredExceptional writing and editing skillsThorough understanding of effective proposal writing techniquesAbility to meet deadlines as demanded by RFPs, which may mean working extra hours to complete a high-quality product in time for submissionProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with special proficiency in Microsoft WordExperience in developing proposal graphics would be a plusExperience with AI proposal repositories preferredWell organized and meticulous with detailsAbility to be discreet with personal information that may be needed for some proposals, such as employee salaries or proprietary company technical approaches and toolsEducation and Experience :
