Inpatient Phlebotomist
As a Phlebotomist, you will exhibit proficiency in blood collection through venipuncture and capillary techniques from patients of all age groups in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities:
- Perform blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques from patients of all age groups.
- Conduct pediatric blood collections and handle difficult draws
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and communicate their importance to team members.
Essential Skills:
- Inpatient phlebotomist experience
- Proficiency in phlebotomy, including venipuncture and neonatal procedures.
- Possession of a CPT 1 License.
- Strong computer skills and experience with lab systems such as Cerner.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- At least six months to one year of experience in an acute or sub-acute setting, with neonatal experience preferred.
- Experience in inpatient settings, with the ability to draw 20-30 patients in an 8-hour inpatient shift.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- Hospital experience.
- Excellent attendance and behavior record.
- Flexibility with shifts and hours.
Work Environment:
The role involves working in a high-volume hospital setting. The schedule requires open availability.
Job Type & Location:
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
