Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Assistant for the department of Surgery at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Under the direction of the Graduate Medical Education Program Coordinator or Program Manager, the Program Assistant supports the day-to-day activities related to the Residency and Fellowship Programs in the Department. Assists with the department programs.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Assists managers, administrators, and faculty with matters relating to the residency and fellows programs.
- Gathers and organizes documents and files for the residency candidates, including application forms.
- Prepares personnel and payroll forms for the residents, including staff transaction forms for newly hired housestaff.
- Is responsible for the management and integrity of the databases for specific projects.
- Participates in meetings.
- Coordinates reservations of facilities, travel arrangements, agendas, and the overall set up of conferences, seminars, or workshops.
