This is a standout opportunity for a mid-level attorney passionate about entertainment and business law. Who You Are A licensed attorney with at least 4 years of experience in transactional law with exposure to corporate and/or entertainment sectors Passionate about the intersection of law, media, and business, with a strong grasp of intellectual property and its commercial applications Skilled in drafting and negotiating complex agreements, with a sharp eye for detail and risk mitigation A clear communicator with excellent writing and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with clients and colleagues Member in good standing with the New York Bar (California Bar a plus) What You’ll Do Support a dynamic legal team by structuring and negotiating a wide range of business and media-related agreements Advise clients on legal strategy, rights, and obligations across corporate, IP, and employment matters Collaborate with stakeholders to align legal frameworks with business goals and evolving regulations Contribute to internal process improvements and knowledge-sharing initiatives Stay current on legal developments, particularly around employment law and restrictive covenants Help shape the legal foundation of emerging ventures and creative projects What Success Looks Like You’ve become a trusted advisor to clients, offering practical legal solutions that support their growth You consistently deliver high-quality work while managing multiple priorities with ease Internal processes are improved through thoughtful contributions and a proactive mindset Strong, collaborative relationships are built with both internal teams and external partners Company Details, Compensation, and Perks Competitive salary range of $125,000 – 165,000 annually, based on experience Hybrid work schedule (based in NYC office) Health insurance and 401(k) Offices across the country Exposure to high-profile clients across entertainment, fashion, media, and technology industries Gainor is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
