Job Title : Certified Tumor Registrar
Location : Bronx, NY - 10461
Duration : 13 weeks
Shift Timing : 8 : 00 AM-4 : 00 PM
Pay Rate : $1800 / week to $2100 / week
Job Description
Duties :
- Gathering information from doctors, medical records, patients, and their families.
- Updating and maintaining the cancer registry.
- Contacting discharged patients and their families for follow-up information.
- Preparing reports and graphic representations of the registry data.
- Complying with government regulations and medical ethics.
Skills :
Three years experience Tumor Registry experience in an acute care hospital or equivalent abstracting experience. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
