As a Security Professional - Armed Retail Patrol - Overnight Shift in Leander, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal in a retail environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned locations, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming atmosphere for employees, visitors, and customers. This armed position involves regular patrols and prompt response to situations, all while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate : $26.50 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTimeWed11 : 30 PM - 04 : 00 AMThur11 : 30 PM - 04 : 00 AMFri11 : 30 PM - 04 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at retail locations by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when possible.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and / or activity within the premises.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Maintain a visible armed presence as required by the post profile to help to deter criminal activity and provide reassurance to clients and visitors.
  • Communicate and collaborate with site management, law enforcement, and / or emergency personnel when necessary.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Have a minimum of three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
