The Assistant Director of Human Resources plays a key leadership role in supporting the overall strategic direction of the HR function, ensuring that Hyatt's purpose to care for people so they can be their best is brought to life every day. This highly visible position partners closely with department leaders and the Area Director of Human Resources to drive colleague engagement, labor relations, and people initiatives across the property. As a union hotel, this role also serves as a critical liaison between management and our union partners, fostering a culture of collaboration, fairness, and accountability.

Salary
The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $106,000. Actual pay will be commensurate with experience. This position will also be eligible for an annual bonus plan.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, Business, or related field; equivalent experience considered. Minimum 34 years of progressive HR generalist experience, preferably within a unionized hotel or hospitality environment. Comprehensive knowledge of employment law, collective bargaining, and labor relations practices. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build trust at all organizational levels. Proven ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Professional presentation and presence consistent with Hyatt's leadership standards. Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
