Overview Our client, a non-profit organization, is seeking a Job Development Assistant to join their wonderful team. This position is fully on site in East Harlem. Who You Are Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field; Master’s preferred Must have demonstrated experience in youth development, education, or social services Knowledge of youth workforce programs; DYCD exposure a plus Strong relationship-builder with clear communication skills Organized and comfortable managing data and documentation systems Able to respond appropriately in challenging or crisis situations Committed to creating safe, inclusive spaces for youth What You’ll Do Build partnerships with businesses and community organizations to expand internship opportunities Match students with placements aligned to their interests and readiness Coordinate onboarding for internship sites Maintain regular communication with worksites to support positive outcomes Assist with job fairs and community outreach efforts Monitor participant progress and provide follow-up as needed Maintain accurate digital and physical records Prepare reports to track trends and program performance Represent the program within the community What Success Looks Like Internship partnerships are sustained and expanded across multiple industries Students are placed in roles aligned with their goals and developmental readiness Worksites are prepared and willing to host future cohorts Participant documentation is complete, organized, and audit-ready Program data is consistently captured and used to inform improvements A safe, structured, and professionally managed environment is maintained for youth and partners Salary Range $50,000 – 60,000 annually, based on experience Location New York, NY – East Harlem – On site Gainor is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
