Job descriptionJob Title Physical Therapist - Johnston, RI Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist for a 13-week contract assignment in Johnston, Rhode Island. This role offers a flexible, rotating schedule, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient recovery and rehabilitation in a dynamic healthcare environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions to restore function, reduce pain, and prevent disability for a diverse patient population. This position requires a commitment to patient-centered care and collaboration within an interdisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history review, physical examination, and functional assessments. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and evidence-based practice. Administer a variety of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, and modalities. Educate patients and their families on proper body mechanics, home exercise programs, and strategies for injury prevention and health promotion. Monitor and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care. Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with facility and regulatory standards. Adhere to all professional, ethical, and legal standards of physical therapy practice. Required Qualifications Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program. Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a practicing Physical Therapist.
