Job Title: Order Entry Pharmacy Technician
Pay: $18.50/hr
Hours: Mon-Fri 10:30am - 7pm
Start Date: ASAP

As a Registered Pharmacy Technician, you'll play a vital role in supporting pharmacy operations with precision and professionalism. In this Order Entry role, you'll collaborate closely with pharmacists, pharmacy staff, and management to ensure medication orders are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining patient safety, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.

Candidates must hold an active Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license.

What You'll Bring

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Registered Pharmacy Technician certification with the State of Florida
• Preferred – national certification (CPhT)
• Minimum of one year of pharmacy experience

What You'll Do

As an Order Entry Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for:
  • Executing routine pharmacy tasks in alignment with standard operating procedures
  • Safeguarding protected health information (PHI) and ensuring compliance with federal privacy laws
  • Authenticating patients by cross-referencing demographic data before order entry
  • Reviewing all medication orders meticulously for accuracy prior to fulfillment
  • Creating, managing, and maintaining precise electronic health profiles for patients
  • Upholding organizational standards and guidelines to ensure quality and safety
  • Conducting thorough quality assurance checks before medications are dispatched
  • Performing administrative and operational tasks as assigned by management
