In this role, you will help shape our campus culture, enhance employee experiences, and support a thriving, inclusive workforce. As part of the Human Resources Talent team, you will collaborate closely with departments across UNCA to deliver high-impact HR services aligned with our institutional mission, values, and strategic goals.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition and Recruitment team to support hiring efforts across assigned departments.
- Assist with the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating search committee activities.
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth and engaging transition for new hires.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits, compensation, and HR policies.
- Manage employment documentation such as offer letters and contracts.
- Stay informed on HR trends and best practices to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with the HR/LOD team to develop efficient, consistent HR processes and solutions.

Minimum Education/Experience/Skills - Graduation from a four year college or university; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Knowledge of human resources or a related HR administrative role Knowledge of HR software and systems. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing transactions. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse constituents, including employees and HR leadership and exhibit a customer service orientation and professionalism. Ability to handle confidential information reliably.
Work Schedule and Hours - Typical hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some evening and weekend work may be required to meet the needs of the department.
