Responsibilities Perform comprehensive ultrasound exams, following established protocols to verify, plan, set up, perform, and report appropriate examinations. Verify patient identity and observe patient during procedure to ensure education, cooperation, and safety. Assist in continuing quality assurance and performance improvement. Complete clerical tasks associated with ultrasound tests; record all testing information accurately, completely, and in a timely manner. Ensure critical results are reported promptly and accurately, following established policy. Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality. Communicate with physicians, patients, and other center personnel in a pleasant and informative manner. Make recommendations to supervisor on related duties, policies, and procedures. Enhance teamwork by showing motivation, enthusiasm, and personal accountability. Maintain a clean and orderly work area by cleaning patient areas after each use, assisting in maintaining overall lab cleanliness, notifying supervisor of stocking or equipment needs, taking responsibility for lab opening and closing procedures, and cleaning and maintaining all equipment per infection control policies. Identify learning needs and respond to department needs by recording meetings, attending in‑services, lab and departmental meetings, and striving to increase proficiency. Suggest new, efficient, or economical techniques, procedures, and processes. Technical Skills and Expectations Echo Sonographer IV – Includes skills of Sono 1‑3 & adult congenital ±HCM & complex pathology. Echo Sonographer IV; Registered Sonographer with +1 (2nd registry or Bachelor's/Master's, multiple credentials, and/or ACS credential, and/or FASE). Excellent interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication. Basic proficiency with computer systems.
