ROLE The Frontline Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day branch operations and leading the deposit initiatives of the branch’s Teller and CSR positions. This position is also responsible for building and developing staff accountability to continuously improve customer service and branch success. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS This position is responsible for the following functions: Manage daily operations of the frontline Be fully trained in the Teller and CSR functions to be able to assist with and complete teller and customer service tasks as needed Communicate deposit knowledge and updates to ensure Teller and CSR positions are properly informed to complete their duties Communicate organizational priorities, establish goals, monitor progress, hold staff accountable, and provide consistent coaching and timely feedback to branch Tellers and CSRs Develop and implement branch-level strategies to improve customer commitment and foster an environment that promotes positive customer experiences Assist Branch President with deposit portfolio, overdraft reports, and deposit growth Oversee scheduling of the Teller and CSR positions and approve timesheets Make hiring decisions for Teller and CSR positions and communicate with Human Resources to coordinate onboarding Conduct performance assessments on Teller and CSR positions Coordinate with Human Resources to address employee behavioral and performance issues as needs arise Maintain Deposit Compliance and educate staff on updates Ensure branch audits are completed as required Develop Community Presence Maintain and expand banking relationship with customers and community Participate in civic and community affairs, functions, and organizations promoting community involvement for the bank Various other responsibilities as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent required Required Knowledge: Complete knowledge, understanding, fully trained and efficient in Teller and CSR duties and functions, understanding of bank policies and procedures Experience Required: 2+ years banking experience preferred Skills/Abilities: Attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication, multi-tasking, customer service, applied leadership, self‑motivation, self‑management, problem‑solving, organized, analytical, interpersonal, customer relationship building, time management, documentation, computer literacy, good independent judgment, leadership, product promotion and marketing, talent development and management, community relationship management PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION Talking: Ability to speak effectively and communicate clearly Average Hearing: Ability to hear average conversations at a standard level in an office environment around other customers and bank personnel Repetitive Motion: The employee is regularly required to type throughout the day Finger Dexterity: The employee is regularly required to use hands to type and maneuver a mouse Average Vision: Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus with 20/20 vision (with or without the assistance of eye glasses/contacts) Physical Strength: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds (unassisted) as well as stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat, and walk for long periods of time WORKING CONDITIONS General professional office environment with climate control. Adequate lighting. Occasional travel to other bank branches. Occasional additional hours outside of regular bank service hours may be required.
