All About the Compliance and Risk Coordinator: The Compliance & Risk Coordinator supports the organization's financial and operational integrity by administering vendor compliance, insurance documentation, and organizational compliance programs. This position is responsible for ensuring vendors and contractors meet company compliance requirements, maintaining accurate compliance records, monitoring insurance documentation, identifying opportunities to improve internal processes, and implementing standardized compliance procedures. Working closely with Finance, Operations, Human Resources, Facilities, and other departments, the Compliance & Risk Coordinator helps strengthen internal controls, reduce organizational risk, and support compliance initiatives across Belmont Park and affiliated company properties. Your Role at Belmont Park As a Compliance and Risk Coordinator, you play an important role in protecting Belmont Park from financial and operational risk. Through careful review of vendor documentation, coordination of contract approvals, and management of compliance records, you help ensure every vendor is properly qualified before work begins. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills contribute to safe, efficient operations across the park. What You'll Be Doing Insurance & Certificate of Insurance (COI) Administration Review Certificates of Insurance (COIs) submitted by vendors and contractors for accuracy, coverage limits, and compliance with company requirements Verify Additional Insured endorsements and required insurance coverages Identify coverage deficiencies and work directly with vendors and insurance brokers to resolve compliance issues Track insurance expiration dates and proactively communicate renewal requirements Maintain a thorough understanding of Belmont Park's insurance requirements and vendor compliance standards Vendor Compliance & Contract Administration Review vendor compliance files, including COIs, W-9s, business licenses, and contracts for completeness and accuracy Coordinate contract routing, approvals, and execution with internal stakeholders Ensure all required documentation is complete and approved before vendors begin work on-site Partner with Operations and Accounts Payable to verify vendor compliance before work is authorized or payments are issued Prevent uninsured or non-compliant vendors from performing work on Belmont Park property Communication & Vendor Support Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, contractors, and insurance brokers regarding compliance requirements Communicate professionally to request, clarify, and resolve documentation issues Apply critical thinking to evaluate unique situations and determine appropriate compliance solutions Build positive working relationships with internal departments and external business partners Compliance Program & Audit Support Maintain compliance calendars for insurance renewals, licenses, permits, and regulatory deadlines Organize and maintain accurate, audit-ready compliance records Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to information requests Recommend improvements to compliance processes and assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) Risk Administration Track and document vendor-related property damage incidents Support insurance claims and cost recovery efforts related to vendor activities Prepare reports identifying compliance trends and opportunities to reduce financial and operational risk Assist leadership with compliance reporting and special projects Team Collaboration Work collaboratively with Finance, Operations, Accounts Payable, and other departments to support vendor compliance initiatives Maintain confidentiality of sensitive business information and company records Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Director of Finance Who You Are Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail Analytical and able to identify risks before they become issues A confident communicator who builds strong professional relationships Comfortable interpreting contracts, insurance documents, and compliance requirements A proactive problem solver who enjoys improving processes Dependable, ethical, and committed to accuracy and accountability Belmont Park LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
