Summary :
As a member of the surgical team, you will provide care during the intra-operative phase of surgical or obstetrical procedures, utilizing your knowledge of equipment and instrumentation to ensure the best possible outcomes for each patient.
Responsibilities :
Ensuring proper decontamination, re-sterilization, and maintaining a log of instrument and / or scope activity.
Keeping the equipment coordinator and / or manager informed about any problems or suspected issues with various pieces of operating room equipment.
Supporting the maintenance of accurate preference cards by communicating with the surgical team.
Demonstrating proficient knowledge and skills, and willingly accepting an equal on-call schedule based on staffing levels.
Demonstrating the ability to reduce procedural costs by avoiding unnecessary supplies.
Demonstrating the ability to respond to the hospital within 30 minutes.
Serving on department specialty focus team and taking responsibility for assigned area(s).
Qualifications :
Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program.
Current certification in American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) is required.
Current ACLS certification is required or must be obtained within 1 year of hiring.
Additional Info :
This is a full-time position from 7am-3 : 30pm, with on-call duties once a week and one weekend per month. Must reside within 30 miles of the facility.
The hospital offers an hourly range of $21-$30, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package. Deductibles as low as $ for Single coverage and $ for family coverage, then % coverage at the facility.
The retirement match is 3% when the individual contributes 3%, with an additional 1.5% provided by the facility, resulting in a total of 7.5%.
