Trillium Construction is seeking Plasma Operators for a long term temp-to-hire project at a Heavy Industrial Structural Steel Shop in Chattanooga, TN.
Candidates need to be extremely detail oriented. This machine and its parts require attention at all times. The plasma operator must be able to operate a forklift at a high level.
The operator also must be able to read a tape measure down to a 1 / 16th of an inch. This job requires heavy lifting and the ability to sort and organize parts.
This job also requires prior knowledge of plate its thicknesses and grades (example : 1 / 4 A36, 3 / 8 A572-G50). They will also be responsible for other miscellaneous tasks around the shop.
They must be willing to learn and have a good attitude. Long hours are required and will be mandated, so the candidate should expect to work at least 55 hours per week.
Pay is approximately $20-$22 / hr depending on experience. Schedule is Monday-Friday with optional Saturdays starting at 6am and working 50-70 hours a week.
