Become a Tech Wash Agent!

Our Tech Wash Agent position requires the employee to perform an in-depth cleaning of specified areas of an aircraft. Scrub, scrape, detail, and wash the exterior and interior parts and components of the aircraft.

What it's like to work as a Tech Wash Agent :

• Pre-checks are performed on all equipment / vehicles and loading of required chemicals for designated washes during that shift
• The ability to follow airline specific guidelines with tasks pertaining to the detailed cleaning process
• Attach or remove proper pitot tube and static port covers and document on aircraft wash record or airline designated forms
• Place the vacuum and water dams around the aircraft to collect all liquids that drip onto the ground and any drains that are covered to protect from contamination
• Place soap in mop buckets, apply to aircraft, starting from the bottom, working upwards with mopheads / pads attached to poles
• Wash exterior of aircraft to remove dirt, insect spots, grease, stains, oil streaking, and exhaust / carbon trails
• During and after the rinse, the contaminated water is squeezed to the vacuum system for removal, be sure to not leave any standing water / soap / chemical in the shadow of aircraft
• A power washer will be used to rinse the soap and dirt from the aircraft while working from the ground or using a ladder
• Polish metallic surfaces, clean / scrape seat tracks, and wipe down the interior structure of aircraft
• Complete a FOD walk to verify that the work area is clean of equipment / chemicals and debris free
• Inspect and evaluate the quality of work and practice safe work methods
• Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) : raingear, rubber boots, safety glasses, face shield, rubber gloves, Tyvek suit, and respirator
• May be assigned other duties as required

Qualifications :

• 18 years of age or older
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents
• Ability to use electronic devices including IPads / Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
• Effectively communicate both in-person and through electronic means
• Pass a background check and drug screen
• Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
• Ability to work any day / shift, including holidays, within a 24 / 7 operation

• Specific vision abilities required for this job include : Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
