Job description

Work-Based Learning Coordinator

The Work-Based Learning Coordinator is responsible for performing a variety of duties to assist in planning, organizing, and supporting work-based learning activities for high school and adult career technical education programs. The Work-based Learning Coordinator will develop and maintain working relationships with students, parents, school personnel, and community partners and will also serve as a resource to North Orange County ROP's five partner school districts.

Requirements/Qualifications: Education, experience, and training: 1. A bachelor's degree is required 2. Two years of experience in job placement or community relations work Desirable qualifications: A master's degree is highly desirable Knowledge of Career Technical Education Licenses and certifications: A valid California Class C or Class 3 Driver's License, the ability to maintain insurability status, and access to personal and reliable transportation are required.

North Orange County ROP will review the applications submitted to select those candidates who appear to possess the most extensive and relevant experience or abilities for the position. Not every candidate who meets the minimum qualifications is interviewed. It is, therefore, important to ensure your application is thorough, detailed, and clear. Interviews are normally conducted between two days and two weeks following the deadline to apply.

Physical and mental requirements: The following physical and mental requirements described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of employees assigned to this position. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position. The physical requirements for employees in this classification include: hearing (which may be corrected) and speaking to exchange information and make presentations; remembering key information and concentrating for long periods; driving a vehicle to conduct work; reaching in all directions, including lifting at least twenty-five (25) pounds; push or pull up to 25 pounds maximum force; some climbing and balancing; stooping, crouching, and kneeling; bending; vision (which may be corrected) required to conduct inspections of data with visual acuity (including color, depth perception, and field of vision). Fingers, wrists, and the dexterity of hands are needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, mouse, calculator, and/or other standard office equipment. Generally, the job requires approximately 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing. The position is performed under minimal temperature variations, generally hazard-free environments, and a clean atmosphere.
