We’re seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) who brings passion, leadership, and a genuine love for hospitality to help guide our team and maintain our reputation for excellence.
Position Summary
The Assistant General Manager plays a key leadership role in the daily operations of Niku X. Working closely with the General Manager and ownership team, the AGM ensures a smooth, consistent guest experience, manages staff performance, and upholds the restaurant’s service and quality standards.
This position is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and is eager to grow within a dynamic, high-profile restaurant group.
Responsibilities
Lead and support front-of-house operations to deliver a seamless, high-end guest experience.
Train, coach, and mentor service staff to uphold Niku X’s hospitality and performance standards.
Assist with scheduling, payroll, and labor cost management.
Manage floor operations, guest relations, and VIP service.
Collaborate with the culinary and beverage teams to ensure alignment across service, menu knowledge, and presentation.
Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily reporting.
Support inventory control, ordering, and vendor relations.
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations.
Contribute to a culture of respect, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of restaurant management experience, preferably in upscale or fine dining.
Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on management style.
Deep knowledge of hospitality best practices, service standards, and guest relations.
Familiarity with Japanese cuisine, steakhouse operations, or luxury dining concepts is a plus.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Proficiency with POS systems (Toast or similar) and basic financial reporting.
