Senior Restaurant ManagerVictor's Café, a historic fine dining Cuban restaurant in Midtown Manhattan, is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our leadership team.We are looking for a hands on floor leader who is passionate about hospitality, comfortable managing a high volume dining room, and committed to developing a strong and accountable team. This role requires someone who can maintain polished service standards while creating a positive experience for both guests and employees.ResponsibilitiesLead front of house operations during dinner, brunch, private events, and high volume servicesMaintain a visible presence on the floor and ensure guests receive warm, attentive, and professional serviceManage, coach, and support servers, bartenders, hosts, bussers, and other front of house employeesConduct pre shift meetings and ensure the team is prepared on menus, specials, promotions, service expectations, and restaurant policiesMonitor service standards, dining room organization, employee appearance, and overall guest experienceAddress guest concerns professionally and resolve issues in the momentSupport employee hiring, onboarding, training, development, and performance managementAssist with scheduling, labor management, attendance, breaks, and floor coveragePartner closely with the culinary team to maintain strong communication and smooth serviceSupport beverage controls, inventory procedures, opening duties, closing duties, and daily administrative responsibilitiesEnsure compliance with food safety standards, liquor regulations, restaurant policies, and New York labor requirementsSupport private dining events and special restaurant programmingHelp create a workplace built on communication, teamwork, accountability, and respectQualificationsAt least 3 years of restaurant management experience in a high volume, upscale, or fine dining environmentStrong knowledge of front of house service standards and restaurant operationsProven ability to lead, coach, and hold employees accountableExcellent communication, organization, and problem solving skillsAbility to remain calm, professional, and decisive during busy servicesExperience with scheduling, training, labor management, and employee relationsComfortable handling guest recovery, staffing challenges, and competing prioritiesExperience with restaurant point of sale systemsToast experience is preferredNew York City restaurant experience is strongly preferredSpanish speaking ability is helpful but not requiredAvailability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as requiredGenuine passion for hospitality, food, beverage, and creating memorable guest experiencesVictor's Café offers the opportunity to join a well established Midtown restaurant with a newly renovated dining room, engaged ownership, and a strong commitment to hospitality.
