Warehouse Associate IIIThe Warehouse Associate III supports core warehouse operations including inventory processing, material handling, records management, and facility organization. This role ensures the accurate intake, storage, retrieval, and destruction of customer records while maintaining strict chain-of custody and confidentiality standards. This position represents the most specialized role within the warehouse job family and focuses on operational execution, accuracy, and productivity in support of VRC's service commitments. This advanced warehouse role includes authorized operation of Powered Industrial Trucks (PITs) and DOT-regulated Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs) when assigned. The position supports both warehouse operations and transportation coverage. Employees must maintain required equipment certifications and must meet all DOT driver qualification requirements. Joining VRC means:Operational impact: Your work supports the secure management of critical customer information.Career development: Warehouse roles offer opportunities to expand into equipment operation, driving roles, and leadership paths.Growth environment: VRC offers stability and opportunity for advancement.Team-focused culture: Collaboration, accountability, and professionalism drive our daily work.Mission-driven work: Protecting sensitive information requires precision, discipline, and integrity.Voice and influence: Ideas are welcomed, encouraged, and acted upon.At VRC, every role contributes to maintaining trust with our customers and protecting what matters most.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESBarcode and process incoming boxes and materials.Pull, refile, and consolidate customer inventory.Process materials scheduled for secure destruction.Perform bay consolidations and maintain organized storage locations.Maintain warehouse cleanliness and general facility upkeep.Utilize handheld scanners and inventory management systems.Meet established productivity, timeliness, and accuracy standards.Maintain strict customer confidentiality and chain-of-custody procedures.Assist team members and support operational needs.Follow all operational protocols.Maintain compliance with all facility safety procedures and OSHA standards.Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (forklifts, order pickers, electric pallet jacks) when certified and authorized.Operate company vans or box trucks to support route coverage, pickups, and deliveries when assigned.Operate DOT-regulated Commercial Motor Vehicles to support route coverage, pickups, and deliveries when assigned.Perform additional duties as assigned by management.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESOperational Accuracy & ProductivityEnsure customer materials are processed, stored, and retrieved accurately while meeting established productivity standards.Inventory IntegrityMaintain accurate inventory records through disciplined scanning, labeling, and storage procedures.Customer Data ProtectionSafeguard sensitive customer information by following chain-of-custody and confidentiality protocols.Operational SupportSupport warehouse team operations through collaboration, organization, and reliability.EQUIPMENT AUTHORIZATIONWarehouse Associate III employees may operate DOT-regulated Commercial Motor Vehicles and powered industrial warehouse equipment, including:Manual pallet jacksHand trucks and non-powered material handling equipmentPowered Industrial Trucks (certification required)Company vans and box trucksDOT-regulated Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs) as defined under 49 CFR §390.5 (10,001–25,999 lbs GVWR) in interstate commerceEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferredWarehouse or material handling experience preferredQUALIFICATIONSValid driver's license and acceptable driving record requiredPowered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification required (certification offered upon hire)Must meet DOT driver qualification requirementsStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and qualityAbility to follow established procedures and safety protocolsStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDependable, reliable, and safety-consciousBasic comfort with handheld technology and scanning devicesAbility to read, write, and communicate in English sufficiently to understand safety procedures, follow written instructions, complete required documentation, and communicate with coworkers, supervisors, and customers when necessary is requiredPHYSICAL DEMANDSFrequent lifting of boxes weighing 40–50 poundsStanding and walking for extended periodsStooping, kneeling, crouching, and reachingAbility to work in varying warehouse temperaturesAbility to access storage areas at heights up to 14 feet using approved non-powered access methodsWORK ENVIRONMENTWarehouse environment with exposure to typical operational noise and activity. Work may involve temperature fluctuations and fast-paced productivity expectations tied to operational service levels.
