REPORTS TO: Materials Supervisor

Department: Material Handling

Essential Responsibilities
The Material Handler under the direction of the Materials Supervisoris responsible for the loading/unloading of materials from trucks as well as assisting with the maintaining of inventory.
Specific Responsibilities

• Load unload and check in freight
• Storing and documenting freight
• Deliver material to the production area.
• Count and organize part storage area.
• Read and interpret written orders specifications and labels.
• Perform safety and quality checks.
• Work and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Basic math tape measurement and computer skills.
• Basic experience with Forklifts/PIT Equipment.
• Able to understand and comprehend measurement.
• Highschool diploma or equivalent GED.
• Interpersonal skills using tact patience and courtesy.
• Ability to work under minimum supervision while working in a team-oriented environment.

Must be able to:

• Carry pull and push up to 50 pounds of dead weight.
• Climb up and down a ladder.
• Sit stand kneel squat crouch or crawl.
• Twist or turn in confined spaces.
