Laboratory Information Specialist – Relocation to Anchorage, AK

Rural hospital located several hundred miles northwest of Anchorage, AK seeking a full-time, Laboratory Information Specialist to join their team.

Pay: $41.90 - $53.98/hour

• $5000 sign-on bonus!
  

Laboratory Information Specialist Opportunity:

• Work closely with the laboratorians and information systems staff to manage the day-to-day electronic health record operations
  
• Resolve all billing rejections which occur either through our current processes involving all electronic systems
  
• Laboratory Information Specialist will demonstrate personal initiative and accountability while maintaining the department’s electronic health record for accuracy
  
• Analyzes data and information systems inefficiencies, evaluates alternatives, and makes logical recommendations based on findings.
  

Laboratory Information Specialist Qualifications:

• 5 years of Information systems training or experience, laboratory training or experience or general health care experience
  
• Knowledge of Laboratory and Interdepartmental functions
  
• Must have knowledge of Laboratory billing programs, processes and procedures
  
• Knowledge of Laboratory Specific Modules (training provided by various sources.)
