Role Purpose
Reporting directly to the Plant Quality Manager, this position leads and supervises the Quality group to promote a culture of Quality and Continuous Improvement throughout the plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise team of engineers, technicians, and hourly associates, providing growth opportunities in talent and capabilities
- Supports the execution of the plant Quality strategy and roadmap
- Provide leadership for Quality Management Systems to ensure systems are effective and compliant with all customer expectations, corporate requirements, industry specific standards, regulatory and statutory requirements
- Champion the Product Quality Architecture necessary to prevent and detect quality issues for purchased materials and manufactured goods for the location
- Support cable manufacturing in an around-the-clock manufacturing environment
- Report Quality metrics and manage roadmaps for implementation / improvement of key elements
- Maintain relevant quality system registrations (i.e., ISO9001, TL9000)
- Manages customer complaints process with regards to timelines, customer follow up, etc. to prevent escalation of issues.
- Support the validation of new products and processes or validation of changes to existing products and processes where form, fit, function, or regulatory compliance is potentially impacted
- Ensure that suppliers provide the highest quality materials that are ready for use.
- Assist and / or lead other staff or departments, when necessary, to perform investigations and resolutions of customer complaints and other root cause investigations
Required Education
B.S. in Engineering, Material Science, or other relevant discipline5+ years in a manufacturing environment2+ years experience in a leadership roleDesired Experiences
