Software Engineer II - Angular / Frontend Focus (9070)

Morton is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer with a strong emphasis on frontend development to support our client's customer-facing applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, along with a solid foundation in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.

This role will focus primarily on developing modern, responsive, and scalable web applications while contributing to backend development and integration as needed. The engineer will collaborate with Agile development teams, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver intuitive, high-performing applications that improve the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Build reusable Angular components, interactive dashboards, forms, and responsive user interfaces.
• Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services developed using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and maintain backend functionality as needed to support full-stack application development.
• Implement frontend routing, state management, form validation, and authentication.
• Collaborate with UI/UX teams, business stakeholders, and backend engineers to deliver customer-facing functionality.
• Troubleshoot application issues, optimize performance, and ensure code quality through testing and code reviews.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Completed bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience developing applications using Angular and TypeScript.
• Proficiency with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend development practices.
• Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Angular Material, RxJS, NgRx, reactive forms, and reusable UI components.
• Experience developing customer-facing enterprise applications or single-page applications.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with OAuth2, JWT, and application security.
• Experience with frontend unit testing and performance optimization.
