Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Vehicle for a Transit Site in San Jose CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a public transportation location you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Pay Rate: $24.29 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers employees and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures policies and emergency response activities at public transportation facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit stations platforms parking areas administrative buildings and surrounding perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm professional problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas reporting suspicious activity hazards and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment in compliance with applicable laws licensing requirements Allied Universal policies and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess at least one year of armed security-related law enforcement and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess a 40 caliber endorsement.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
