Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly close activities. Based on general knowledge.
• Maintain accuracy of the general ledger and support timely financial statement preparation. Based on general knowledge.
• Analyze manufacturing variances, inventory balances, standard costs, and production-related expenses. Based on general knowledge.
• Assist with cost accounting processes, including product costing, overhead allocations, and inventory valuation. Based on general knowledge.
• Reconcile inventory, prepaid expenses, accruals, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts. Based on general knowledge.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Based on general knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal accounting controls. Based on general knowledge.
• Partner with operations, supply chain, and plant leadership to provide financial insight and reporting. Based on general knowledge.
• Assist with year-end audit preparation and support external auditors with requested schedules and documentation. Based on general knowledge.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and help streamline accounting workflows and reporting. Based on general knowledge.
• Support payroll, sales/use tax, and other operational accounting activities as needed. Based on general knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Based on general knowledge.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Based on general knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting. Based on general knowledge.
• Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing variance analysis. Based on general knowledge.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Based on general knowledge.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Based on general knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally. Based on general knowledge.
• CPA or CPA-track preferred. Based on general knowledge.
