An established, multi-location organization is seeking a strategic, hands-on Chief Financial Officer to partner with executive leadership and drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and long-term growth. This is an opportunity for an experienced finance leader to modernize financial operations, strengthen reporting and controls, and build scalable processes to support the organization's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and long-range planning.
• Partner with executive leadership on business strategy, profitability, capital allocation, and growth initiatives.
• Oversee accounting, treasury, tax, audit, banking relationships, risk management, and internal controls.
• Drive cash flow optimization, working capital management, inventory and cost accounting, and margin analysis.
• Evaluate financial and operational performance across multiple locations, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Lead finance transformation initiatives, including ERP capabilities, reporting automation, business intelligence, and emerging technologies.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; master's degree preferred.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including 10+ years in senior finance or executive leadership.
• Proven experience as a CFO, divisional CFO, or senior finance executive.
• Background in distribution, logistics, manufacturing, retail, consumer products, or another inventory-intensive, multi-location environment strongly preferred.
• Strong expertise in financial planning and analysis, cash flow, working capital, cost accounting, and operational finance.
• Experience with ERP systems, business intelligence tools, and financial process improvement.
• Strong executive communication, strategic planning, and team leadership skills.

Additional Details

• This is a fully onsite position in Syracuse, NY. Candidates must be local and able to work onsite; remote or relocation-based arrangements are not being considered.
• Travel of approximately 20–25% is expected.
