Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:30) | Every other weekend required | Up to 26 weeks | 36 or 48 hours per week available
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a stepdown/med-surg unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
Perform IV starts and administer medications using Sigma IV pumps
Document patient care using EPIC electronic health records
Float to other med-surg areas, including acute and emergency settings, to care for med-surg patients as needed
Monitor and assess patient vitals using Welch Allyn vital sign towers
Required Qualifications
Valid Michigan RN License
BLS certification (American Heart Association)
NIH Stroke Scale certification
Minimum 2 years of PCU/Stepdown experience
IV start proficiency required
Must be available and present for the first two weeks of assignment; block scheduling cannot be accommodated
Locals accepted; no radius restrictions
Preferred Experience / Skills
Oncology (ONC) experience is a plus
Chemotherapy administration experience preferred
