Whether you work in our state-of-the-art Casino, our beautiful Resort, or become a staff member in our Tribal Government division, you will be part of the Sycuan family.Job Purpose:Provides service to guests by taking and delivering drink ordersJob Duties and Responsibilities:Provides guests with service by acknowledging and welcoming guests, responding to guest requests, promptly taking, delivering and serving beverage orders, entering orders into the point of sale system, and collecting and processing payment and returning change following established procedures.Ensures responsible alcohol beverage service policies are followed by asking for proper identification from guests that appear to be under the age of 30, monitoring alcohol consumption, ensuring guests do not become intoxicated following established procedures, stopping alcohol service at the designated time, and clearing the room of all alcoholic containers, glasses and bottles for each venue at the time specified.Promotes guest relations by offering appropriate up to date information regarding promotional contests and giveaways, providing requested assistance and product knowledge, and treating guests in a friendly and courteous manner.Maintains safe and sanitary dining areas by cleaning surfaces, picking up used trays, plates, glasses, cups and utensils, wiping down tables, and disposing of trash.Provides accounting of transactions during shift by entering cash transactions into point of sale system, counting currency, logging guest discounts, VIP points and credit cards onto cashier drop work sheet, balancing money drawer against generated cashier report following established procedures, and reporting discrepancies to the food services management team.Ensures drink stations are stocked and clean by completing and submitting supply requisitions, placing delivered water, supplies, cups and condiments in the server stations, and cleaning coffee machines, soda machines, sinks, shelves, and counters according to established procedures.Job Specifications:Education and Experience:Essential:County of San Diego Food Handler CardCA ABC Responsible Beverage Service Certification21 years of ageDesirable:Guest or hospitality service experienceCash handling experienceCocktail Server experienceCasino experienceSkills and Knowledge:Essential:Ability to interact effectively with guests and team membersAbility to communicate effectively in the English languageAbility to stand and walk for up to eight hours at a timeAbility to count cash and make change in a fast-paced environmentAbility to recognize counterfeit moniesAbility to perform simple mathematical calculationsAbility to complete forms and documentsAbility to appear for work on timeAbility to work in a smoking environmentAbility to maintain professionalism and composureAbility to understand verbal directives and written instructionsAbility to accept constructive criticismAbility to routinely lift and carry 25 poundsAbility to bend, stoop, push and pullDesirable:Multi-lingualSupervisory/Managerial Accountability:Direct: NoneIndirect: NoneIf you enjoy being part of a community dedicated to creating a memorable guest experience, we invite you to explore career opportunities with Sycuan and join our winning team!
