Certification: PMP Certification Mandatory

Travel Requirement: Must be able to travel to Malaysia approximately 50% of the time.
Job Summary:
My client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager – SAP Supply Chain / Manufacturing to lead complex, cross-functional technology and business initiatives supporting the setup of a new manufacturing facility and its associated procurement, manufacturing, and logistics functions. The role requires strong domain knowledge across the supply chain lifecycle, including Plan, Source, Make, and Deliver, along with hands-on experience managing SAP implementation and rollout projects.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience leading SAP ECC and S/4HANA implementations, coordinating global project teams, managing third-party system integrators, and driving project delivery across manufacturing operations. Experience with SAP GTS, S/4HANA, EWM, TMS, SAP ME/MES, and Agile PLM is valuable. The candidate must hold a valid PMP certification and be prepared to travel to Malaysia approximately 50% of the time.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end project planning and execution for new manufacturing facility setup, including procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and related IT/business systems.
• Manage SAP implementation projects, phased global rollouts, system upgrades, product launch scale-ups, and facility expansion initiatives.
• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, manufacturing timelines, product qualification plans, milestones, and governance frameworks.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Finance, Manufacturing, Operations, Infrastructure, Product Quality, Regulatory & Compliance, Field Service, and other business units.
• Partner with business project managers to lead core team meetings, executive steering committees, status reviews, and project sponsor communications.
• Manage project scope, resources, budgets, dependencies, risks, issues, constraints, and change requests to ensure successful delivery.
• Prepare and maintain project deliverables, including kickoff presentations, detailed project schedules, budget-versus-actual reports, business blueprints, test plans, and training plans.
• Coordinate third-party system integrators, SAP Services, vendors, and other implementation partners.
• Lead organizational change management activities, including stakeholder analysis, communication planning, training materials, end-user training, and solution adoption.
• Drive issue resolution and escalation while communicating project status, critical paths, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders.
• Ensure project deliverables comply with internal business processes, quality systems, and applicable regulatory standards.
• Apply global project management best practices to improve implementation consistency, execution quality, and delivery outcomes.

Must-Have Skills:

• Mandatory PMP certification, with the certification number and current status clearly listed at the top of the resume.
• 8+ years of experience leading major cross-functional projects involving manufacturing operations and enterprise technology delivery.
• Strong SAP Supply Chain Project Management experience, including SAP ECC 6.0 and SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• Proven experience managing complex SAP implementation or rollout projects across multiple business functions and technical teams.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams using structured project management and Agile delivery practices.
• Strong project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, issue resolution, and governance skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and executive reporting skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Jira, and MS Project or Smartsheet.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Must be a local candidate available to work onsite and travel to Malaysia approximately 50% of the time.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with SAP GTS, SAP S/4HANA, EWM, TMS, SAP ME/MES, and Agile PLM.
• Experience implementing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Experience managing third-party system integrators, SAP Services, and external implementation partners.
• Medical device manufacturing industry experience.
• Experience leading phased global SAP implementations in multinational manufacturing organizations.
• Experience supervising team members.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification or other relevant Agile qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated success delivering at least two end-to-end SAP ECC 6.0 or S/4HANA implementations, with large-scale manufacturing implementation experience being a strong differentiator.
• Strong understanding of the complete supply chain lifecycle: Plan, Source, Make, and Deliver.
• Experience managing manufacturing and product qualification timelines for new facilities and product launches.
• Ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels and manage ambiguity across multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong organizational change management capabilities, including stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and adoption.
• Proven ability to manage complex project dependencies, resolve delivery challenges, and maintain alignment between business objectives and technical execution.
