What will I actually do?
- Start up and commission new commercial and process HVAC systems—including chillers—confirming proper operation and settings.
- Complete preventive maintenance to maximize reliability and efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, refrigerant leaks, and airflow issues.
- Validate control logic and safety device functionality.
- Partner with project and install teams to quickly clear post‑install items.
- Document tests, parts used, work performed, and system adjustments.
- Explain performance, improvements, and service needs to customers.
- Follow safety standards, codes, and internal procedures.
- Train continuously on technologies, diagnostic tools, and energy‑efficiency practices.
Where will I work?
Remotely—from anywhere in the U.S.—serving customers nationwide. Travel can be up to 80%, organized in predictable rotations such as 14 days on / 7 days off or 21 days on / 14 days off to protect your home time. All business travel is company‑paid or reimbursed per policy; per diem and travel costs are covered for assigned jobs.
What do I need to bring?
- 4+ years of commercial HVAC service or maintenance experience (install background a plus).
- Deep understanding of the refrigeration cycle.
- Advanced ability to read wiring schematics and troubleshoot.
- EPA Type I & II refrigerant certification (required).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work on rooftops, in mechanical rooms, and outdoors.
- Willingness to travel; residence in any state is welcome.
