We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a BSN Assistant Professor on a part-time basis in Idaho Falls. This role involves instructing and guiding students in our Nursing programs, ensuring they achieve the necessary competencies and standards required in the field of nursing.
Key Responsibilities :
- Instruction : Deliver engaging and effective instruction in clinicals, labs, and simulated clinical experiences (SCE), ensuring alignment with course outlines and syllabi. Evaluate and provide feedback on student performance, maintaining a clean and organized learning environment.
- Student Engagement : Maintain availability for student consultations via email, phone, or in-person meetings. Supervise, debrief, and support students in various learning settings.
- Professional Development : Participate in faculty orientation, mentoring programs, and ongoing professional development activities. Stay current with nursing practices and maintain necessary certifications and licensure.
- Administrative Duties : Accurately record and report attendance and grades, adhering to FERPA regulations. Collaborate with colleagues in exam preparation and strategic planning to enhance program quality.
- Clinical Supervision : Plan and oversee student clinical experiences, ensuring health and safety standards are met. Provide immediate feedback on clinical performance and maintain comprehensive student records.
Qualifications
Masters in nursing required completed
3 years bedside
Registered Nurse with current and unencumbered licensureMasters of Science in Nursing Degree Required or BSN with previous teaching experience, currently enrolledAble to meet the faculty requirements set by Board of Registered Nursing in the state in which you will workExperience which demonstrates : Current knowledge of nursing practice; ability to mentor students; strong communication skills, both verbal and writtenOne (1) year adult instruction experience preferredA documented background in educational methodology consistent with teaching assignments including but not limited to education theory and practice, or current concepts relative to specific subjects he or she will be teaching, or current clinical practice experience, or distance education techniques and deliveryWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Products, especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and other MS office products as neededWhy is This a Great Opportunity
