Flying Lion is actively seeking highly skilled sUAS Pilots to strengthen our team in supporting local Police Departments’ Drone as First Responder (DFR) Programs.
This pioneering initiative enhances community safety by significantly reducing on-scene time, de-escalating incidents, and bolstering situational awareness for both citizens and officers through the utilization of sUAS / Drones.
As a DFR Remote Pilot in Command (RPIC), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring swift response times and upholding flight safety standards through meticulous equipment readiness and maintenance, adept flight management, and seamless communication with dispatch operators.
Full-time and Part Time available
Starting Pay : $18.00hr

Responsibilities
- Monitoring in-flight drone performance to ensure overall mission safety
- Maintain equipment readiness and maintenance of drone at all times
- Troubleshoot the aircraft and network systems to maintain Mission Readiness (Training and Support available)
- Maintain visual of drone and airpace during VLOS flights
- Maintain airspace awareness during BVLOS flights
- Maintain compliance with FAA rules and guidelines for sUAS Operations
- Maintain radio communication with the sUAS team
- Troubleshoot the aircraft and network systems to maintain Mission Readiness (Training and Support available)
- Conduct pre-flight and post-flight checklists
Qualifications
Part 107 certified
Minimum of 30 logged flight hours
- Able to communicate clearly
- Comfortable working outside for long periods of time
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Enthusiasm for technology and the use of sUAS in Public Safety.
- Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills.
- Capability to work outdoors and lift up to 40lbs.
- Proficiency in climbing stairs or ladders unassisted.
- Availability for weekend and night shifts.
