Job Description

We are seeking a Consumer Insights Manager who will play a pivotal role in influencing our organization through their leadership and comprehensive knowledge of consumer behavior. This position is responsible for leveraging market research techniques to align with business objectives, acting as a proactive business partner and expert in consumer insights. The ideal candidate will have a strong voice, advocating for the consumer and effectively influencing business decisions. They will oversee consumer insight planning, strategic positioning, and innovation while building strong partnerships with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Oversee consumer learning across various sources to narrate the story and influence decisions through applied experience and consumer partnership.

Design research projects aligned with business objectives to answer key questions.

Advocate for the consumer by integrating consumer knowledge into all decision-making processes, expressing a compelling point of view.

Build strong internal and external relationships, collaborating with key functions including Brand Marketing, Sales, Category Management, Digital Marketing, Research and Development, and agency partners.

Manage category budgets by opening purchase orders, overseeing accruals, and ensuring timely payments with finance, while prioritizing allocation to best meet brand needs.

Perform other duties as required.

Essential Skills

5 years of relevant consumer research experience, preferably in Consumer Packaged Goods, Pharmaceutical, or Medical categories.

Expertise in market research methods and trends-based work, with the ability to translate data into compelling stories with actionable insights.

Strong knowledge of consumer insights across various methodologies.

Deep understanding of categories, brands, and portfolios.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Strategic thinking with the ability to assess situations, draw conclusions, and envision future business opportunities.

Ability to influence cross-functional teams and management.

Capability to work autonomously and prioritize multiple projects.

Leadership skills through collaboration and the courage to express clear points of view.

Identification of consumer trends and implications for the category.

Work Environment

This is a full-time remote position, with approximately 35 hours per week. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position - 6+ months and 100% remote.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00 / hr.
