Senior Electrical Engineer – Power / Energy / Utilities
Hybrid (Flexible Nationwide Locations) | Up to ~$200K base DOE | U.S. Citizens (No Visa Sponsorship)
We are seeking multiple Senior Electrical Engineers to join a top-tier engineering firm expanding its Power and Utilities division. Qualified candidates may sit near any of the firm’s [~ 234] U.S. offices, and remote options may be considered based on location and experience.
These full-time roles (Contract-to-Hire preferred, DH possible) offer the opportunity to lead medium-voltage (4–46kV) and behind-the-meter generation projects across sectors including data centers, campuses, microgrids, renewables, and federal energy modernization.
The firm is seeking long-term team members who bring strong technical expertise, collaboration skills, and a passion for advancing modern power systems.
Responsibilities :
Lead and manage electrical power system design projects from concept through construction.
Develop plans, specifications, and technical documentation for medium-voltage and generation systems (10MW+).
Collaborate with clients, project managers, and multi-disciplinary teams.
Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
~ 10+ years of experience in power systems design, utilities, or consulting.
Experience with MV distribution, substations, and generation systems preferred.
Active U.S. PE license required; however, EITs or those eligible to obtain PE within 6–12 months will be considered if all other qualifications are met.
U.S. Citizenship preferred (no sponsorship available).
Compensation : Competitive W2 hourly rate (with benefits) or equivalent salaried pay up to ~$200K DOE, with eligibility for direct hire conversion and a full suite of additional benefits at that stage.
